Default Offline Viewing of Event Viewer Log Files

I want to view and analyze event viewer files copied from other computers.
Is there an off line application that I can accomplish this with?

If you save the log file, then you may open it with another computers
Event viewer.

Ok, I guess I will have to test that to make sure it doesn't start using
that log file because I opened it.
