need help writing a .bat file to auto save to CDRW
I'd rather not use 3rd party like Nero/INCD.
I've had problem with other computers not able to read. One of the problems I've had is that they really don't 'overwrite' and I'm out of cdrw disk in a hurry. I just want to create a little .bat file that will save certain directories on C: to my F: which is a CDRW using WINXP. If the file exists in that directory, overwrite it. I realize this is low tech. I realize I may have to manually click on the 'Write these files to disk' option. My version of Quicken can do this. Forgive me for being so computer illiterate. Please and thank you. -- -- ----------------------------------------------------- George Burns: "Sex at age 90 is like trying to shoot pool with a rope." ----------------------------------------------------- Bill H. in Chicagoland |

You could make your bat file copy direct into the holding area at C:\Documents and Settings\youraccount\Local Settings\Application Data\ Microsoft\CD Burning and then later use the Write to CD to write the accumulated session. Bear in mind that each session has about a 14 MB overhead, so this is *not* for small numbers of files -- Alex Nichol MS MVP (Windows Technologies) Bournemouth, U.K. (remove the D8 bit) |
