Default can not log into mmc with admin "run as"

Sitting at my XP pro system, I want to remotely manage another XP pro system
in the domain using MMC and Computer Mngmnt.

I saved the MMC shortcut to my desktop, but when I right click on the
Computer Mngmnt MMC icon and use "run as" and enter the domain admin
acct/pass in this form: domain\admin acct
password, it doesn't work.

I even tried using the local admin acct. of the remote box. Doesn't work.

I've been successful with this before in a Win2K domain, and it should work
in a Win2K3 domain. What else do I need to do?
Thanks
