How do i remove programs from loading everytime i log on the computer
Using Msconfig to shut off Auto-Start programs
Here are the steps: .. Click Start .. Go to Run .. Type in the box msconfig .. Click on the Startup tab at the top, this will show a listing of programs that auto start when your computer is first booted. If you uncheck the box the program will no longer auto start and sit in your system tray /notification area when you boot. You'll need to reboot before this takes effect. Another way to do this would be to go to the program that is in your system tray/notification area and you may find the settings to remove them from the auto start, most programs have this listed in the properties section. How do i remove programs from loading everytime i log on the computer
Greetings --
In most cases, with "well-mannered" applications, it's usually as simple as opening the undesired program and deselecting the option to "display icon in the system tray" or to "start when Windows starts." Additionally, Look in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Start Up and C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\Start Up folders, and in the system registry, primarily in the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys.
