Default Missing Folders

Under the User folder there is a folder called "AppData" which eventually
gives access to the Outlook folder. Using Windows Explorer I cannot see
this folder. I have sent the folder to show both hidden & system files. I
found this because I was going to use Synctoy to backup my Outlook pst file
but the folder does not show up in its select box either. Doing a dir in a
DOS box does not show the folder but you cab use cd AppData to get to it
(Yes I go back to DOS days!) so it must be some subtle Windows setting
somewhere. I can see the folders clearly using xplorer2.

Can anyone help here

Many thanks

Peter

A trick I learnt yesterday hit start or windows key start typing %appdat%
and there you see the search result is in Roaming and the app data for
Outlook is in Microsoft outlook but its also in c:/users/yourname/app
data/locale/micrsoft/outlook too
