Reinstallation restrictions
I've got a Net Top PC with Windows 7 on it. The PC's faulty and I'll be
getting a refund. However I won't be able to return the Windows 7 so that will go on another PC in time (I hope). Are there any restrictions which would stop me from installing and activating my Windows 7 on a new PC in future? TIA. Rog. |

Reinstallation restrictions
ROg,
If it is a OEM installation (came with the machine, not purchased by you separately) then it is supposed to be restricted to the machine it came on. If you bought it as a boxed item then you can move it to another machine. If it has already been registered you MAY get a message saying something about it already being registered and providing a telephone number to call, you say it is being installed on another machine because the first machine failed, they give you another number to type in. Actually works pretty well. Michael "Roger" wrote in message o.uk... I've got a Net Top PC with Windows 7 on it. The PC's faulty and I'll be getting a refund.
