CD-ROM Drive Mystery...help plz !

Default CD-ROM Drive Mystery...help plz !

Was playing computer games off CD's the following night, this morning i try to play games but my computer won't detect the disc, in fact it won't even detect music CD's either. I have also ran troubleshooter and it didn't help the problem... Does any one h
ave any idea what's going on ?

Download and install a tiny patch from the following URL to delete
upper and lower filters from the Windows registry:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts/xp_cd_dvd_fix.vbs

Download the file and double click on it, it is a vbs script, and you
can see its contents using notepad.

If you're using Norton Antivirus, it will warn you of a malicious
script. Choose authorize after you have checked its contents in
notepad.
