Default video camera to pc

i have a sharp, mini dv, viewcam Z
the video camera came with a connector for tv, av, and another plug which is
circular. There is a coresponding female part on my laptop, which i assumed
would make a connection between the camcorder and the pc. however the
computer doesnt recognize anything and i cannot find out where to enlighten
my computer that theres some videos on the other end of the cord that need to
load! please help!

Thanks

You need to connect the digital camcorder to PC using firwire. I suggest
you look in your PC manual to see if your PC is already equipped with a
firewire port, and purchase a firwire cable.
