Word2002 page order switches (1,2,3,41,42,43)
I haven't been able to locate this specific problem in
the troubleshooting database or newsgroups so hopefully someone can help. I'm using WinXP, OfficeXP and a Laserjet 1200se. I'm trying to print a number of 56 page manuals and had found that the best way to do it was print 1-56, odd pages, turn over and print 1-56, even pages, reverse order. This seemed to work best for the first 15 copies or so. Suddenly every 3rd or 4th copy when I'm printing the even pages in reverse order (so the manual is nearly completed) it prints from 56 to somewhere around 46 and then jumps to around 32, just omitting those pages between 32 and 46. It ends up printing all the way to page 1 but 10-15 of the first side prints are still on the printer because of those missed pages and most of what printed is trash. I'm doing the manuals one at a time now, printing the same file, just going in and resetting the print attributes and hitting the key so whatever happens should be consistent and it's not. The problem itself isn't consistently occurring and when it does the pages that get ommitted aren't consistent either. I'm using high graphics so I've wasted a great deal of toner and time already and have half of my manuals printed with 25% becoming garbage. Can anyone assist with this? Oh, I have most recent software for printer, Office and WinXP. Thanks! |
