Default Certificate is not verified while printing with IPP Client trough SSL

During the development of IPP server which supports IPP
over SSL printing, I noticed that MS IPP client doesn't
verifies server's certificate. It doesn't rise warning
dialog message (like IE does) in case if certificate is
not trusted, or its validity period is invalid, or its CN
field in subject is not equal to name in URL. Could you
please explain this behaviour. To my mind this is a big
hole in security.
