Toggle Navigation Pane via Single Keystroke?
Not being burdened with an excess of gray matter, I find the navigation
pane slightly confusing most of the time. Too much clutter. It has it's days, but mostly I'm happier without it. Turning it off via Organize | Layout | Navigation pane is no problem and I did that. But it seems like it would a nice-to-have would be the ability to quickly flip it on and off for those times where it's relevant. I tried downloading the .REG files from MS's forum http://tinyurl.com/9s5qcs5 They work but: - They throw several dialogs to the effect of "Do you want to allow...?" and "Are you sure you want to...?" and "Yes, we really did this..." - The effect is not seen until a new window is opened. I'm looking for a single keystroke (.CMD, .REG, some other sort of command script) that will toggle the nav pane right before my eyes with no dialogs/prompts - giving the same effect as dropping the Organize menu. I'm thinking some sort of keyboard scripting environment where I write a keyboard macro and assign it to a key combination. But beyond that I'm totally clueless. ?? -- Pete Cresswell --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active. http://www.avast.com |
