Installed Windows Live Mail - Outlook Express tries compact messa
I switched to Windows Live Mail as Outlook Express was no longer supported,
but now I am getting every five minute a message that Outlook Express wants to compact messages.

However, Outlook Express still wants to compact messages each time I launch

Outlook (OL) and Outlook Express (OE) are not the same application. I asked if you still used OE? If you don't see if removing access to OE makes any difference: Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Add/Remove Windows Components | OE (uncheck).
