Is KB3172605 OK to install
Roy Colson wrote:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3172605 Issue 1 Intel Bluetooth driver software... may affect Bluetooth keyboards, mice, audio streaming devices, and voice headsets ******* '583 is not included in rollups, because it's a gated update/install. '664 can decide the computer is ready for '583. But generally you would not expect '583 to be inside a package like this. If you have any concerns, you should already have installed GWX Control Panel and taken defensive measures. ******* So the above update is not entirely safe, if you were on some mobile device, your Intel Bluetooth host went for a ****, and your Bluetooth keyboard stopped working. That would be a bit of a mess. If you don't have Intel Bluetooth, but have some other brand (like Broadcom), then you're probably safe. HTH, Paul |

It's a fix for a problem caused by KB3133977 update.
If you haven't had KB3133977 instaled, KB3172605 is optional. |
