global template
My daughter's term paper has gotten saved as our global
template and comes up every time that we start Word. How do we 1) get rid of it and 2) return to a blank screen when we load Word? |

Use Windows Explorer to find every instance of
NORMAL.DOT and rename it to (say) OLDNORMAL.DOT. The next time you run Word, it will create a fresh copy. If anything important was stored in it (styles, auto-text, etc), you can copy it from OLDNORMAL.DOT using the Organiser. When you are through, delete OLDNORMAL.DOT. -- Regards, Pat Garard Australia Anne & Pat Garard. apgarardATbigpondDOTnetDOTau _______________________________________________ ps.
