With WinXP, you ask the question "does the service have a client for my OS". It doesn't matter what service is offered, if you cannot connect via WinXP. Dropbox dropped a bunch of stuff. Sure, you can get a list of services, but notice they don't provide info on client availability. There was a time when Wiki had a few hints about what was deprecated. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compar...sting_services You'll end up reviewing articles like this, to see what the client situation is like this week. Reading the comments section might be required too, in case the article doesn't make "enough sense". https://www.theverge.com/2017/9/7/16...p-app-shutdown The free offerings have "just enough space for a taste". Some have dropped back on more generous original offers. Paul |

Why are you posting in Windows 7 newsgroup? Because people like you are bending backwards to respond to any troll posting here on Windows 7. Have a look at Box.com - I've got several free accounts and have always found it preferable to (say) Dropbox. Box gives you up to 10GB of storage per account with a maximum individual file size of 250Mb. That's fine for everything I want to do, but if want to store large video files it may not work for you. It works through a browser interface, so should be ok with XP. Wait . . Just tries with my wife's XP system, and access Box via Google Chrome with no problem. However, there is an application called Box Synch which you can use if you want to synch files in certain folders with your cloud storage automatically. Box don't seem to guarantee that that will work on XP, but some sources say it will. depending on how you want t o operate, you may not need it anyway. -- Cheers, Roger ____________ Please reply to Newsgroup.
