It would help to know what the Event Logs are saying
about this. Right-click on My Computer, and select
Manage. Expand Event Viewer, and review the System
and/or Application logs around the time that this is
happening, and send us more information about what is
happening.

I don't see much on a 1053 error off-hand.

What does your network look like? Is the PC connected
directly to an ADSL modem or to a Router, etc.....Any
details you can supply will help.
