dual processors for xp
Windows XP Home supports just one (1) CPU and
Windows XP Professional supports either one (1) or two (2) CPUs. dual processors for xp
Hi,
I have just posted a similar inquiry on Intel OR840 Dual Processor Board. I have been having some inquiries lately about possible upgrade to XP Pro. From what I have heard so far, this same experience occurs with OR840 boards having dual processors installed. XP Pro detects the dual processors quite already as indicated in the device manager. However, the CPU usage history will show only a single proce ssor chart rather than the usual dual charts for dual processor. I am sure the gurus out there will soon respond to this. Cheers. ----- thomas wrote: ----- Does windows xp support dual processors? the task manger cpu monitor only shows one processor. Is there something I have to turn on? Thanks Thomas |
