Angry system restore not working

hi guys
i was wondering if someone can help us out please ......

i recently bought an audio interface for my PC , i might have installed its drivers incorrectly .... since then i have had nothing but trouble i cannot restore my PC to an earlier time using system restore, but every time i try it says restore incomplete, why ?? ?

ive uninstalled all the software that came with Audio Interface but nothing ....

When i go into task manager my system idle proccess is always on 98-99 , is this relevant..

Any suggestions very welcome

Thank You

Default system restore not working

System Idle 99% is Ok. By Audio Interface do you mean a Sound Card?
For System Restore, rt click on MyComputerselect PropertiesSystem
Restorecheck box " Turn Off Sys Restore on all Drives". Click Apply, Ok
Restart. Once XP has loaded reverse the procedure.
