Need Assistance on IM

I am not familiar with MS Instant Messaging so I need to ask a question. Is
there a way to setup IM internal to a company? I do know you have to have a
some type of MS account when you use IM, I was hoping to use the company's
systems some how. Any direction or advice will be appreciated.
