Default Domain is associated to the wrong IP

We use to have our website locally hosted. We recently moved it to a hosted
box.
So we went and changed the IP association with the Domain name provider.

Almost all the machines switched over fine.
For some reason one of the machines is stuck on the old IP.

So I ping the domain and it gives me the old IP.
I change the host file and save it and the domain still points to the old IP.

we have another domain that changed the IP the same day. That IP works fine
and I can change the IP to whatever I want using the host file and verified
with the ping action.

Does this make any sense?

basically im trying to access our website from one machine and thats the
only machien with this problem...

any suggestions?
