My niece gave me a network adapter. There is no disk. It is a
Linksys WUSB600n. The driver site wanted to know if it was version 1 or 2. I can find no version number on it. I assume that makes it version 1. I went to Cisco's web site and downloaded this file. http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/w...s/lbc/WUSB600N The adapter I have says....Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Network Adapter and it says Linksys Cisco, but it doesn't look like the one in the picture. I extracted the file to the desktop It makes a folder called WUSB600Nv2-Win7_3.0.10.0-01182010 And two sub folders The one I used was Win7_32_v3.0.10.0 The files are listed in this screen shot http://img858.imageshack.us/i/0079h.jpg/ Before I put the adapter in, I right clicked on netr28u.inf and picked install. Nothing seemed to happen. When I put the adapter in the port I got a message that it wanted to install drivers, but it didn't find any. Now when I put in the adapter nothing happens. Suggestions? -- O'Neil to General Hammond: For the record Sir, I wanted to blow it the hell up. |
