I am trying to use Microsoft Document Scanning to scan documents BUT a
non-existent printer/scanner an old HP, which has been uninstalled, still shows up when I try to scan. And, I cannot get my new one to show up at all! I've contacted Canon about the new one, but, how do I get rid of this HP POS? I can find NOTHING, after 1,000 Google searches, that helps me with this problem. Thanks in advance for any help! |

Because Microsoft Office Document Scanning is part of MS Office, you might get more help in the Office General Questions newsgroup: Web Interface http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...ang= en&cr=US Newsreader: msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.office.misc Did you see this (yes, I know it's for Vista, but the same principles apply to XP): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...move-a-scanner Did you *also* use "Add or Remove Programs" to uninstall the related HP software? Exactly *how* did you go about uninstalling the old scanner? Did you get any error messages? Please post them verbatim. Where does the old scanner "show up"? -- Lem Apollo 11 - 40 years ago: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/ap...0th/index.html |
