not nearly long enough.

Or, to paraphrase one song lyric: "If I never see it again (It'll be
too soon)"

I use FF and turned off everything Edge. Again.

Are we talking about version 84.0.522.59? My 'About Edge' does not
mention Chromium at all.

When you get to the 'About' page - build 84.0.522.59 - there is
this:
"This browser is made possible by the Chromium open source project
and other open source software."

Mine does:

"Microsoft Edge is up to date.
Version 84.0.522.59 (Official build) (64-bit)
This browser is made possible by the Chromium open source project and other
open source software."

Yes it does. It displays

"Microsoft Edge is up to date.
Version 84.0.522.59 (Official build) (64-bit)
This browser is made possible by the Chromium open source project and
other open source software."

Note the sentence beginning "This browser..."

I think multiple people jumping in to correct technical misinformation
is a good thing.

Yes, it often is.

Hi Ken Blake,
Did you notice I ignore you when you don't infest the threads I author?
o It's when you infest threads that I care about that I respond to you.

I care that people can run all three Microsoft browsers (if they want).
o https://i.postimg.cc/PrcV1pXF/browser06.jpg

I wasn't gonna respond to the worthless piece of **** Ken Blake given:
a) Ken Blake has _never_ once added value to this newsgroup (ever!)
b) Hence, I WELCOME Ken Blake plonking me (the less he posts, the better!)
and
c. If Ken can't figure out my posts instantly, then he's an utter moron.
d. Morons like Ken Blake can't even figure out how to write a regexp.

However, I just updated the tutorial after many hours of testing,
and I wanted to append it to my suggestion on this thread, where
responding to Ken Blake's moronic posts with actual value further proves
my main point that:
o There are two types of people on Usenet - only one of which adds value.

To wit, here is hours upon hours of useful research & value in one post:

UPDATE: https://i.postimg.cc/q7VC5YXV/microsoft-browsers01.jpg
o Tutorial to set up 3 Microsoft web browsers to work concurrently
(Edge UWB, new Edge, & Internet Explorer)
coexisting peacefully even after subsequent Windows Updates
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/alt.comp.freeware/fZlJTYRxYFg

1. The original tutorial assumed you already updated to the new Edge
(and hence, you needed to remove it and start fresh).

2. This new tutorial starts fresh with a new build of Windows 10
(and hence, it _preserves_ the old Edge when installing the new Edge).

Hi kelown,

There are a lot of misconceptions in this thread, as you noted.

For the record, there's nothing stopping us from having all three Microsoft
browsers simultaneously on our Windows 10, version 2004, systems.

o https://i.postimg.cc/QN6rbSQD/browser05.jpg
o https://i.postimg.cc/2SzGQkQZ/archive-installer.jpg
etc.

For details on how to preserve all 3 Microsoft browsers, see this tutorial:
