Percy, it depends on your OS. Which one are you currently running on?
"Percy Pellerin" wrote in message ... I'm trying to import my address book from Outlook Express into Outlook. The Export Wizard in OE instructs me to save the export as a "comma separated value" (.csv) file which I do and then close the wizard. When I try to import it into Outlook the Wizard can't browse to it. The search function can't find it either. Am I missing a step in the procedure? Thanks for any assistance, Percy Pellerin |

The address book is actually stored in a .wab file. I figure the reason =
that you can't find the .csv file is that it is in a hidden folder. Try = exporting it again and specify that it be saved to your Desktop. You = should be able to browse to it with no problem then. Good luck, Eric. "Percy" wrote in message = ... WindowsXP. I found this file: C:\Program Files\Outlook=20 Express\wab.exe but could not get Outlook's wizard to=20 complete the import. I tried selecting several file=20 types and got corresponding error messages for each. =20 -----Original Message----- Percy, it depends on your OS. Which one are you=20 currently running on? Percy ... you didn't indicate which version of Outlook you have ... but in OL2000, at least, (not sure about
others), there's an option to import addresses directly from Outlook Express. Rather than exporting from Outlook Express, you need to do an import from Outlook ... go to File, Import and Export, Import Internet Mail and Addresses, and select Outlook Express. Then put an checkmark in the box for 'Import Address Book', select the destination Outlook Contacts Folder and click 'Finish' ... that's all there is to it. HTH ...
