Default PP prints every startup...HALP!!!

My HP printer burps out a single sheet of paper with the
letters PP at the top corner each time the computer
starts up. How does one stop this chaos??

Thanks
Tim

That's part of the plug-and-play detection sequence the XP sends out on
startup. Shouldn't cause the printer to print, unless the printer, or the
port screws up. I'd play around with the port settings in the BIOS and/or
the LPT port as it shows up in the device manager.

Out of interest: which HP printer ? How old ?
