Default red tabs

I know tabs on the task bar (bottom bar) blue in color,
but sometimes, some of them turn red, surprising me,
and worrying me if something must have gone wrong.
What is the significance of the phenomena?
Is there any urgent action I should take on such occasions?
I am using IE7 on the xp os.

Thanks
CK

It's a "ready" notification. The application in question is trying to gain focus and is waiting
for your acknowledgement.
