When I click the little red shield, it tells me that Microsoft Security7
Essentials says it is turned off. When I go to Securiry Essentials, it tells me it is monitoring my PC and helping to protect it, and that real-time protection is on. Is this a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing? -- Steve Hayes from Tshwane, South Africa Blog: http://khanya.wordpress.com E-mail - see web page, or parse: shayes at dunelm full stop org full stop uk |

![]() Seems to happen a lot on various machines at various times on XP. Appears to me to be MSE reporting before SC is ready to accept the report. I fix them via services (start, CP, Admin services, services, MS antimalware, restart) or (security center, restart). First step gets probably 95% of the issues. |
