As I surf around trying to find freeware, reading tech sites, shopping,

webmasters have increasingly began to make their websites unreadable
with pallid, faint, gray fonts on white or even worse, slightly lighter
gray backgrounds. This design fashion is basically disenfranchising the
elderly, those with vision problems and those with poor quality computer
monitors. I have yet to talk to anybody, friend or family, who actually
likes the trend.

The purpose of my post here isn't to solicit suggestions for freeware
solutions, although if you want to provide any feel free. Rather, I'm
looking for input which might explain why webmasters are trying to blind
their viewers with poorly designed websites which use faint fonts.

Most websites are definitely NOT friendly to old eyes. Maybe they just
wanna sell more glasses and medicine! The same trend is happening to
mobile gadgets. How many of them display text in eye-friendly manner?
Well...

More and more kids are having eye problems because of over-dosing with
mobile gadgets.

Yeah, it's annoying. Thanks God we have accessiblity in our devices and
softwares to adjust.
