Default FireFox and irs.gov/payments

I think it was a few weeks ago that I said FireFox didn't work with
irs.gov/payments, and several people here assured me that it did.

I just tried it again. It works fine. I was wrong.

Or, perhaps most likely, my internet connection was flaky that day.

Or your assigned FBI/NSA agent was messing with your head.

I often have a hard time figuring these things
out lately. The other day a friend was having trouble
accessing a link to a video on Zoom with New Moon
on XP. (UA spoofed to be Firefox on Win7.) On a
lark I updated New Moon to the very latest. It
worked. The first attempts had said wrong password.

There's no excuse for that kind of dysfunction and
increasingly I can't figure out what the problem is.
Though I give some credit to Zoom. That's the first error
in a long time that actually said what the error was.

I've experienced somewhat more intermittent flakiness/freeze-ups/errors
online and with my TV cable than usual since the pandemic forced a lot
of ISP, website, cable company, content provider, etc., engineers and
technicians to be working from home.

Things will get better when it's over...

Why is it that the people who want more government control over your
life are the same ones who want you to be disarmed?

Yeah, but when? It might be years?
