Auto Download Critical Updates on XP

Can anyone help me in setting my Task Scheduler to
automatically download my Critical Updates and then
notify me that they have been downloaded and give me the
option to install at that time or later? I have it set
to check each day at 5:09 PM, all it does is open the
Microsoft Update page. It used to do it in the
background and I never saw it and I someway changed the
setting.
