Sharing files and printer????

Ok i have a linksys wirelles routed which i connect to 2
wired 1 wireless, i want to share files and printer with
them, in the setup wizard it asks me if this computer
connects directly to the internet or connects throught
another as an option, i have no idea what to click, they
all connect to internet i didnt know that it all wen
threw one or does it not have to/ lemme know thanx

Alex,

If your computer connects to the router (wired or wireless connection), it
should use the router as its gateway. Selecting "This computer connects thru
another computer or thru a gateway" is the correct selection.

ok got it setup now, but i want to be ableto acess my C:
drives from any computer. I added it to the network, but
when i go to click prgram files it says acess denied! I
can get into toehr folders just a few say this, how do i
correct this?

abilities vary according to operating system.

ok, windows xp on all professional on 2 and home edition
on 1 i think, id like to have acess to all my comp from
all my comp:desktop,d:,c:,a: all of them lemme know

its looks good but i am confused, i do have to loging in
to 2 out of 3 comp with username and psswrd, does this
mean i have to get 1? and will i have to be logged into
that accnt to have complete acess? lemme know thanx

for me, plz look at whats been posted and see if anyone
can help me correct this, 2 comps are proffesion other 1
is home edition, all WINDOWS XP, HELP PLZ

Alex,

Windows XP Home uses Simple File Sharing, where everything that is shared is
available to any users on the LAN.

Windows XP Pro will use either Simple File Sharing, or Advanced File Sharing.
AFS requires authentication by matching account / password. With AFS, you setup
a shared folder with permissions to an account on the sharing computer, and
access is granted to that same account (with identical password) logged in to a
remote computer.

If you wish to access all shares from all computers, then simply enable SFS
(Control Panel - Folder Options - View - Advanced settings) on each computer
with XP Pro.

If you wish to control access to shares on an XP Pro computer, then disable SFS.
If you disable SFS (enable account based authentication for shares access), it
gets tricky. With SFS (controlling how a computer grants access to its own
shares) disabled, there is a second setting that controls how that computer
authenticates for access to shares on other computers.

If you disable SFS on any XP Pro computer, check the Local Security Policy
(Control Panel - Administrative Tools). Under Local Policies - Security
Options, look at "Network access: Sharing and security model", and ensure it's
set to "Classic - local users authenticate as themselves".

If you set the Local Security Policy to "Guest only", make sure that the Guest
account is enabled, and has an identical, non-blank, password on all computers.
If "Classic", setup and use a common account with identical, non-blank, password
on all computers.
