Windows XP Users
Right now, I have two user accounts on my computer: the
administrator and my own. From what I understand, you have to keep the administrator account. But what I want to do is have the computer startup and automatically enter my own account instead of what it currently does...it signs into the administrator so I have to log out of it then sign onto my own account. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Jason |

Windows XP Users
Hi Jason
Try this: From StartRun type in control userpasswords2 then uncheck 'Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer' and click 'Apply'. On the next screen - 'Automatically Log On' - delete the name 'Administrator' from the User name box and enter your account name and then the password in the next two boxes. OK your way out and then reboot your system. Or you can use Tweak UI: You can download TweakUI from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p.../powertoys.asp and when installed go to ProgramsPowertoys for Windows XPTweak UI - then go to LogonAutologon. -- Will Denny MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User Please reply to the News Groups "Jason" wrote in message ... | Right now, I have two user accounts on my computer: the | administrator and my own.
