I have tried TweakUILogonWallpaper, and I have tried using ResHack, and I
have tried using the few registry hacks that are out there, but not one of them works! Whatever changes I make don't seem to take, and it goes back to default. I think maybe it's because Windows File Protection is stopping any changes, though most of the tweaks I've read out there don't seem to mention WFP at all. And yes I am the administrator of this pc, I have full access. Any ideas? All I want to do is change the logon background image...seems simple enough. Tim |

Hi
I've tried that, it didn't make any difference, XP just ignored it. Does the new BMP have to match the default BMP exactly in height and width? Does it have to be in brackets, eg [D:\LogonBG.bmp]? And do I have to include the filetype in the new value? Even after rebooting or logging off XP just ignores any tweak I make. Tim "Anando [MVP]" wrote in message ... If someone decides that it's a good idea to reply to a post from the stone
age, I don't believe it requires anyone else to follow in a cascade of foolishness and loose sight of common sense... They will simply be alone with their solitary response - and when - eventually - the poster realizes why his solitary contribution is so eerily alone, he will cringe inwardly with the rest of us! It really does benefit no-one to call him by playground names. There should be only one unwritten rule in a group that has no method to enforce any at it's disposal - keep your text to the thread! Your body of text has little to do with it's subject . == Cheers, Tim Meddick, Peckham, London. :-) "Harden Thicke" wrote in message ... Hey, you idiot... clipped |
