Default Network Provider Order tab missing

In network connections choose advanced - the adapters and bindings tab is
there but the network provider order tab is missing. Seems to have happened
since early December - must be one of the automatic updates - can anyone
point me to the right one thanks?

I had the same problem so I edited the registry and the tab came back...

In the registry (regedit) browse to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\NetworkProvider\Order

The following settings are the settings that you use to change the provider order:

Name: ProviderOrder
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: LanmanWorkstation,WebClient,RDPNP
(Microsoft Windows Network, Web Client Network, Microsoft Terminal Server Network Provider)
