Default Xp - Vista networking issue

I have a small network that consist of 7 computers, 4 of which run WinXP and
3 run Vista. One of the XP machines I use as my data server. I recently ran
into a networking error on one of the Vista machines, it tells me the XP
server can not accept anymore connections, it sees the server but will not
connect.

I ran the network setup wizard on the Vista machine and it fixed the problem
for about 3 days, all computers worked fine. Then one of the other Vista
machines started the same error after about 3 days.

Is there a limit to the number of computers the XP machine will allow to
network to it?

Any help would be appreciated.

John
