prompt admin to allow or deny print job to continue printing
Our organization provides internet access and allows clients to print for a
fee. The network is set up similar to this: client---Print Server---Printers. the Cilent OS is Windows 2000 SP4, the Print Server is Windows XP Professional. Inorder to prevent the wasting of pages by users accidentally clicking the print button We would like to have an administrator control whether a print job actually goes to the printer. Is this possible? The print server is Windows XP Professional and there are two printers connected: 1. HP LaserJet 4000TN 2. HP color LaserJet 3500 |

You would need to pause the printer, then pause each job and resume the
printer, then resume the jobs that have been paid for, then pause the printer .... -- Alan Morris Windows Printing Team Search the Microsoft Knowledge Base he http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1 This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Is there a setting or registry value that I can change to automatically pause
all printing? Possibly you could have the submitted jobs print "to file". Then the
administrator could submit them for printing on the target printer whenever. -- Tom MSMVP 1998-2007 "jinxcat101" wrote in message ...
