Default USB Print Support error

I am having some problems printing to a label printer connected via USB to a
desktop computer

I have another identical printer connected via the computer's parallel port
that is working fine.

When a file is sent to print on the USB-connected printer, it appears in the
print queue but has an error attatched to it. The program printing the label
(Filemaker) then crashes.

In Device Manager, under the USB section there is an entry called 'USB Print
Support' that has a yellow warning sugn on it. In this devices properties, it
says it has an 'code 10' error and 'cannot start'. I've tried removing the
entry in device manager and reinstalling it but the same problem occurs.

The problem started after disconecting and moving the printer and PC

I have also run sfc /scannow to no avail

Hope someone can shed some light onto this, thanks

Default USB Print Support error

I tried this already including reinstalling the manufacturers drivers, and
the end result is almost the same, only now Filemaker no longer crashes and
just gives a printer driver error.

Thanks for your help, though

In Device Manager, right click on the USB Controllers (after disconnecting
all USB devices) and uninstall them. Reboot the PC. Windows should re-find
and reinstall the correct drivers. Then reinstall the printer.
