explorer.exe cpu at 99%
running a dell Gx260 512m ram 1000mPagefile 2.4ghz
running winXPpro problem is this. constantly my system stalls out. when i pull up task manager, explorer is sitting there thrashing along at 75-100% eating every spare bit of cpu time it can get i believe this may be related to an install of windowblinds but i uninstalled it and the problem still persists does anyone have any suggestions? i am open to any questions regarding this issue |

no virus i have run scans using avg and f-prot i have also
run adaware and manually scanned through my own registry i have plenty of tools for checking disk consistency as i am a technician myself i do have unsigned drivers but i have verified through hcl that there are no serious issues i have the compadibility toolkit but i realy don't see the relevance to explorer thrashing up cpu time -----Original Message----- 1. Use Performance Monitor to localize where the problem is at.
