Default Missing Display Adaptor

Hi,
Having reloaded XP, i can no longer 'see' a reference to
my display adaptor in the device manager. If i try
to 'add new hardware' the only display adaptor that XP
will alllow me to install is ATI Rage. My display adaptor
is Creative Ge Force 2 Pro. In the hardware device
manager in the 'non-plug and play device' it refers to a
standard VGA driver. It looks as if XP has insatlled its
own default drivers to get the machine running. Having
done that the monitor is also not seen as a seperate
entity. Is there an up-dated list of products some where
i could install that includes my display adaptor? The
problem now is all of my video products wont work as they
basically say i have'nt got 3D capabilty. ie DVD player,
Direct X etc etc

Double click the non plug and play device and then Upgrade the driver and
use the drivers for your video card.
