Cannot find computers on network

Not sure if my first post made it on....
I have a home network. I have added two new PC's. They are both on Vista. My original home-office computer is still on XP,
In the past I have been able to see the other computers on the network. They are all on the same workgroup. From the new
PCs I can see my home-office computer (the one on XP). But for some reason, from the home-office computer, I can't see
any of the other computers.

When I go to My Network Places and click "View Workgroup Computers" I get an error message which says: "Workgroup
is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator to find out
if you have access permissions. The network path was not found."

Now I am the admnistrator from this home office computer. The other computers can see this one, but I can't see the others.

Any ideas what may be set wrong?

Can the Vista's see each other? Maybe not.
Do you have any shared resources on your new Vista computers, i.e. shared
folders or printers with appropriate permissions? Is file and/or printer
sharing turned on for the Vista's? After that you should get a logon window
for the Vista when you try to connect to the Vista box from your XP, which I
believe will only pop up the first time you connect.

This is MOST frustrating! On the Vista computers I have "Discovery" turned
on, all my XP folders (that I want shared) are set to be shared. The Vista
computers can see each other. My XP computer USED to be seen by the other XP
computers but no longer.

Now I made the mistake of going to my XP computer and using the network
wizard (or whatever it's called) and when it finished, the Vista computer
could no longer see the XP computer. I'm not sure what the wizard changed,
but somehow the XP and Vista computers cannot see each other.

I don't know what's causing the message I'm getting on my XP computer when I
try to see the other computers on the network:

I found a thread where they resolved the issue, and it is thorough, if long.
The only thing I'm not sure you would need to do is to enter the IP address
because he was getting them from DHCP and that address could change if he
turned off one or the other of the computers, and he mentions that himself.

On this XP Newsgroups page if you enter 'xp vista networking' in the upper
right hand corner, it will bring up multiple results of threads where it
looks like people have had success networking Vista boxes.
