Some one please help me out here. I just got this New
laptop PC and dedicating it to online gaming. Everything
is perfect, appart from this messager that came with the
PC. The same message comes up at the worst of times, its
no one i know because i have`nt signed up yet and i can
tell it`s an advert so some kind. (once got a pornography
one)
I have gone into it`s profile and unchecked each box,
still the messages pile in. So is it possible to
uninstall this messager or must i delete the folder
manualy because i wish not to use this.
Please help. Thanks

Greetings Grant,

Are these "messages" that are appearing have "Messenger Service" in their titlebar? If so,
just disable the "Messenger Service":
Click Start, then Run, enter "services.msc"and click OK. Scroll down to "Messenger", select
it, right-click and then choose Properties. Under startup type, choose 'Disabled' and then
choose the 'Stop' button. After the service is stopped, click OK. Nothing in Windows or any
real third-party applications should be effected by this.

If they are real conversations, you can uninstall Messenger (you can reinstall it whenever
you'd like), to do so: close down Messenger (right click the messenger icon in the
notification area/system tray and click close). Then click the start button, then click Run
and type in (copy-paste if you like):
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Then click OK. Messenger will then be uninstalled. For more detailed instructions and
screenshots, go to,
