Default XP folder on C drive?

Greetings,

I just moved to XP Home from 98SE. On 98 I copied the win98 folder from
the 98SE CD to c drive so I wouldn't have to insert the CD every time the
system needed to update from a hardware/software install. Can this be done
with XP?

Thanks,
Mark

Hi,

Yes, same thing basically, but you want the I386 folder.

The equivalent in XP would be copying the i386 folder to your hard
drive.
