Dialogue boxes on the desktop
My dialogue boxes for the shortcuts on my desktop did not have any color in
their backgrounds -- they were transparant so that the wallpaper showed through them....but somehow they now all have a dark blue color in them....so I see distracting background colors behind all the text. This is awful....I want them transparant again...what do I do? -- Julia |

Dialogue boxes on the desktop
Hi Julia,
Go to the Control Panel/System/Advanced tab, click on performance settings. On the Visual Effects tab, enable the line to "use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop". -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Julia" wrote in message ...
