Jerry

I retract my earlier comments. I did not appreciate Glo had a Medion
computer at the time I posted. However, I doubt from the way this thread
is going that it will be a Medion related problem.

Please accept my apologies for jumping to the wrong conclusion.

Hi Gerry
I got the error report fixed as I got the solution, which seems to have
worked, but still get the 4 error messages which is underneath. I hope you
find a solution but if I could somehow delete them from the start up box then
it should be fixed, what do you think.
Cheers

Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. To search for a
file, click start button then click search.
The second box reads: Desktop as the title on the left hand side and iis

exits on your computer or remove the reference to it in the registry.
This is the only errors I get except for the error reporting to microsoft
everytime I leave the internet. I hope this helps as I can't find anymore

Hi Gerry
I went through the solution but had to disable the third party and now the
box to report to Microsoft has disappeared. But will I be able to leave it

You're full of surprises g. The simple answer is I do not know.

The Online Crash Analysis response raises questions. You were offered
Hotfix KB888240 but this supposedly was included in Cumulative security
update KB896688 in October 2005. Have you downloaded and installed
KB896688?

In Everest look in the List of Installed Programmes and see if it is
there. Click on the plus symbol before Software and you will see
Installed Programmes. If there it will be shown as Security Update for
Windows XP (KB 896688).

I am going to try to find out the why Hotfix KB88240 might be required.

Hi Gerry
I did get two updates from Microsoft but I was not sure if it was the same
one that I did twice. I looked in Everest but could not find anything, maybe
I missed it. There is so much and it is all double dutch to me, might as
well be in Japanese. But I did everything that was suggested but still have
that problem. Hope you can find a simple answer for me, I'll keep my fingers
crossed.

Hi Gerry
Here is another question for you as it is bothering me. I bought this pc
game but it does not seem to work. I can hear sound but the screen is black.
On the information for the game is states you need 16mb 3D Video Card. Does
my machine not have that and if not, can't I just download it from somewhere.
I thought my machine had everything on it, but I might be wrong. I know it
is way off the subject you are dealing with but maybe it has something to do
with the problem. Months ago I had a virus and it was held by Norton, it
could not repair it, so I deleted it. I think I deleted two altogether. I
don't have Norton now as I still seemed to get lots of problems and viruses,
so I changed. Hope this information might help you to sort the problem.
Cheers Glo

Do other Games work? Games are notorious for being buggy. How old is the
game?

I am having difficulty getting the specification on a SiS 315 Integrated
Video Adapter. so I cannot directly answer your question.

The problem could be a computer setting, an out of date driver, a badly
written game etc. It is a distraction to try to resolve the problem at
this point in time.

Hi Gerry
Don't worry about the game, it was just a thought that it might have been
connected in some way. It is not important as I would rather try and get rid
of these error messages, if possible. So is there any other things I could
try or has the last information I sent you any help.

On the information for the game is states you need 16mb 3D Video Card.
Does
my machine not have that and if not, can't I just download it from
somewhere.
I thought my machine had everything on it, but I might be wrong. I
know it
is way off the subject you are dealing with but maybe it has something
to do
with the problem. Months ago I had a virus and it was held by Norton,
it
could not repair it, so I deleted it. I think I deleted two
altogether. I
don't have Norton now as I still seemed to get lots of problems and
viruses,
so I changed. Hope this information might help you to sort the
problem.
Cheers Glo

Hi Gerry
I did get two updates from Microsoft but I was not sure if it was the
same
one that I did twice. I looked in Everest but could not find
anything, maybe
I missed it. There is so much and it is all double dutch to me,
might as
well be in Japanese. But I did everything that was suggested but
still have
that problem. Hope you can find a simple answer for me, I'll keep my
fingers
crossed.

You're full of surprises g. The simple answer is I do not know.

The Online Crash Analysis response raises questions. You were
offered
Hotfix KB888240 but this supposedly was included in Cumulative
security
update KB896688 in October 2005. Have you downloaded and installed
KB896688?

In Everest look in the List of Installed Programmes and see if it
is
there. Click on the plus symbol before Software and you will see
Installed Programmes. If there it will be shown as Security Update
for
Windows XP (KB 896688).

I am going to try to find out the why Hotfix KB88240 might be
required.

Hope this helps.

Hi Gerry
I went through the solution but had to disable the third party
and now
the
box to report to Microsoft has disappeared. But will I be able
to
leave it
as it is?

I retract my earlier comments. I did not appreciate Glo had a
Medion
computer at the time I posted. However, I doubt from the way
this
thread
is going that it will be a Medion related problem.

Please accept my apologies for jumping to the wrong conclusion.
