On the PC with the printer attached, go into the Control Panel and
doubleclick on Printers & Faxes. Click on the Properties tab and look at
the Sharing tab. Ensure the printer is set for sharing, that the shared
name is no more than 12 characters/numbers and has no spaces in it and has
no 'illegal' characters such as (but not limited to) _, - and *.

Go back to the 98 PC. I am presuming that your network is correctly
configured and that the 98 PC can see the files and folders on the XP PC.

You should now be able to also see the network printer.

Trying to share a printer between a -XP and -98-based
computer. The printer is plugged into the -XP computer and
both computers a plugged into a new Microsoft Router.
However, I cannot access the printer through the -98
computer. Any ideas??
