win exp in xp don't function any more
a couple of days ago win exp stopped working every time i click on a folder
i get the exp has encountered a prob and must shut down i ran my anti spyware ,ran my anti virus, and tried sys restore nothing nothing and more nothing i am totally lost thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this -- .......?........? |

Try running SFC /SCANNOW from the Command Prompt.

Had a similar problem with a used computer. Normal AV didn't find anything. 3-days of googling and downloading specialized AntiMalware programs that ran in safe mode and I got it mostly running. Smitfraudfix, virtumonde fixes and sdfix did most of the work on my system. There are many very nasty and very well hidden malware out there. You can't just delete the files, 'cause they come back. |
