Bitlocker password prompt

I apologize if this question has been posted and answered previously.

I have an external USB drive locked with Bitlocker. I used to get a password prompt when I plugged it in into my Windows 10 HP laptop. Now I get nothing.

Suggestion appreciated on how to get the prompt back again TIA!

Check the properties of the USB device to see if you set it to
auto-unlock. If so, you can disable it.

However, if it's not on auto-unlock, you can try using the key on
another computer which has never used it. On there, it will be forced to
ask you for the password since it has not recorded any setting regarding
that hardware.

In Windows Explorer just (doubble) click on the USB drive.
Then the prompt will appear.
