Try deleting your page file.

a.. click start
b.. right click my computer
c.. click properties
d.. click advanced (tab)
e.. under performance click settings
f.. click advanced (tab) under virtual memory click change
here you can change the space available for each drive by choosing the
custom button then entering the amount you want
or choose the no paging file which you should do and make sure to click the
"set" button when you're done.

Restart and perform the same procedure except this time set the page file
to Windows Managed.

Gerry,

Thanks for your reply.

I have followed your instructions and I am a little bit lost in that in
Disk Management, Disk 4 is a separate Free Agent Hard Drive - Letter
'Z', which I use exclusively for automatic weekly Back Ups, whilst the
Hard Disk Drive 'D' is my second internal Hard Drive.

I have also noticed that whilst the size of Drive 'Z' is 300 GB, I am
down to only 30 GB free, could this be a factor?

As an additional comment, I have just checked System in Event Viewer and
find that it shows 7 identical Warnings about HardDisk4/D between noon
and 1800 hours today!

Any further comments would be appreciated.
