Default Negotiation Time

I am using the fax program that comes with XP. Can I make a settings
change to lengthen the time before my fax hangs up? I am having a
problem sending a fax to an automated fax connection. When I dial the
fax machine the phone is answered by Audix. The message that plays is
too long before the fax negotiation starts to take place. So, my side
times out and reports No Answer. I would appreciate any suggestions
you have on this one.

Add enough commas (each comma is a 3 second or so delay) to the end of the
phone number to let the Audex message finish before your modem starts to
negotiate.
