After posting the previous request I found a copy of IE7. Now I can't find a
way to uninstall IE8 - it's not listed in Add/Remove and IE7 won't install
on top of IE8. Any solution?

U can uninstall it with Perfect Uninstaller. I found that this program provides a special but very easy way to uninstall IE8.Importantly, it won't do any harmful to your PC registry. Instead, you can use it to effectively manage the PC registry. Good program, in my opinion. Wish you good luck, too!
